IOGRAPHY.
Coming from a thespian family, the choice of going into film wasn’t exactly difficult for Rebecca. Rebecca Louisa Ferguson was born on October 19, 1983 in Stockholm, Sweden in the Vasastaden district.
She was introduced early on in life to the Arts and fell specifically for dance and music. While attending Adolf Fredrik’s School of Music in Stockholm she was approached buy a casting agent for the lead role in what was to become one of Sweden’s most popular series, “Nya Tider” (New Times). Thrown into acting at the age of 15 ½ the School of Hard Knocks opened up the doors of the magical world of film and theatre. An intense apprentisship of two years.
She graduated from music school in 1999, more precisely Adolf Fredriks Musikskola.
A couple of years later a joint Swedish/American TV production gave her the opportunity to work in Miami for almost a year. Living abroad opened her vistas for foreign travel. From 17 to 18 years she lived in America.
“Travel broadens the mind”, certainly applies in Rebecca’s case as she added yoga, wind/kite surfing, horseback riding, advanced scuba diving (which she was able to use, helping with wreck cleaning after the 2004 tsunami).
Rebecca’s intense interest in tango has led to her being asked to help teach beginner courses in Lund, and next on the agenda is becoming a yoga instructor, never forgetting her over-riding love - acting. Then followed by several supporting roles. In the film debuted in 2011, the Swedish film Richard Hobert directed, a One Way Trip to Antibes.
Since then starred in 10 films and television series lately, Rebecca has distanced herself from Swedish movies (A One Way) and recently played Queen Elizabeth Woodville in BBC's The White Queen. She will play a princess in the new Hercules movie. She is currently living in Sweden raising her six-year-old son, Isac, and living with her boyfriend in Simrishamn.

MODEL.
Rebecca has, from the age of 13, worked as a model in magazines, for television/cinema commercials and different brand names (make-up, clothes, jewellery), etc.
Tango.
Rebecca Ferguson has danced from a very early age; ballet, tap-dancing, jazz/show and street funk to Argentinean Tango.
For Rebecca, tango was a love-affair from the very beginning. Starting to dance two years ago she has attended as many lessons and workshops as her time has allowed. Tango, like life, is a constant development.
Balance; axes; pace; communication; rhythm; music; meditation; two becoming one; total awareness of body movement; mind; humour and mood, all playing their part in the whole dance.
Under the brilliant and pedagogic teaching of Daniel and Jessica Carlsson, www.tangokompaniet.com, Rebecca teaches a beginners course together with Daniel, as well as working as a teaching assistant with them, for three other courses in Lund, Sweden.
Rebecca with her partner Ludwig Hallberg is available for private lessons, courses, management-training-programmes and other private events.
